Two sets of wickets are pitched opposite and parallel to each other in the center of the bowling creases. Each set of stumps should be 9 in/ 22.86 cm wide and will consists of three wooden wickets and two wooden bails on top of it.
Size of Stumps
The length of the stumps should be 28 in/ 71.12 cm above the surface of the ground and should be doomed shaped except for the bail grooves. The portion of the wicket above the pitch surface should be cylindrical apart from the doomed part, with circular section of diameter not less than 1.38 in/ 3.50cm nor more than 1.5 in/ 3.81 cm.

The Bails
The bails while in position on top of the stumps shall not project more than 0.5 in / 1.27 cm above them and shall fit between the stumps without forcing them out of the vertical. Each bail shall fulfil the following criteria
- Overall length –31 in/ 10.95 cm
- Barrel length –13 in/ 5.40 cm
- Longer spigot –38 in/ 3.50 cm
- Shorter spigot –81 in/ 2.06 cm
